This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into and subject to the Daylight terms and conditions ("Terms") in connection with the Daylight Platform. Some capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy are defined in the Terms. By using and participating in the Daylight Platform, you acknowledge and consent to the collection of your data consistent with terms of this Privacy Policy.

The type of project data we collect

Daylight requires users to submit certain data prior to receiving credentials to access the Platform. Additionally, Daylight collects data from users of the Platform. Such data includes:

  • Individual and corporate information, including, but not limited to company and individual name, email address, mailing address, and phone number
  • Producer and developer data related to projects and/or products, such as commercial operation date, pricing, energy production, construction costs, and other project- and/or product-related attributes required for diligence
  • Buyer data related to energy consumption, procurement goals, facility location, and other related data required for Daylight to facilitate a transaction through the Platform
  • Investor data related to acquisition targets or project specifications (geography, size, technology, etc.), lists of preferred project developers, and other related data required for Daylight to diligence projects through the Platform
  • Platform usage data, including login activity, pages visited, features used, and other interactions with the Platform

How we use your data

Daylight uses the data we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, and to provide the services described in the Terms. Specifically, we use your data to:

  • Verify your identity and grant access to the Platform
  • Facilitate transactions, diligence processes, and communications between Platform participants
  • Analyze and evaluate projects, sites, and opportunities on behalf of Platform users
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send administrative notices, Platform updates, and other communications relevant to your use of the Platform
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the functionality and user experience of the Platform
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms

How we share your data

Daylight does not sell your personal data. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

  • With other Platform participants, to the extent necessary to facilitate a transaction or diligence process that you have initiated or agreed to participate in
  • With service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy
  • In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services described in the Terms.
